Court order can't halt European Rio - Diamond

A Diamond spokesman says the US courts have no jurisdiction in Europe and because the player is made in Taiwan it will be difficult for the US to stop "grey imports" of the player. "Obviously it's a little disappointing" says the spokesman, "but it's only a 10 day ruling."

Diamond ran into trouble two weeks ago when the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) sued the company alleging the Rio violates federal copyright infringement law.
