The first international agreement to be signed by world leaders using digital signatures was accomplished today in Santry, Ireland. President Bill Clinton and Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern used separate notebook computers, smart card readers and private PIN numbers to sign a U.S.-Ireland communiqué on electronic commerce.
