The £5.99 price is available to users who sign up for two years but even the £6.99 and £7.99 prices available to one-year and six-month subscribers are lower than any other major service.

Watford said it is able to offer the low prices by reducing administration costs and by building up its own infrastructure based on Cisco routers and 56kbps modems, Microsoft Registration Server software and Compaq servers.

Watford also plans to launch a new Web site at www.watford.co.uk on September 22.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
