On a visit to London today, S3 CEO and president Gary Johnson detailed plans to incorporate Faroudja Laboratories' Picture Plus video technology in cards that will be generally available in add-in cards next year. Johnson said he expects the technology to quickly migrate to the mainstream and be especially attractive on consumer PCs with DVD-ROM drives.

Under the terms of the agreement S3 gets access to Faroudja's technology for integrating TV and PC formats, maintaining colour depth and recovering detail.
