Forrester tips shift to Net remote access

The company's report, "Internet Remote Access", calculates Internet-based remote access will be 60 per cent cheaper than conventional remote access, due to lower phone and ISP charges and the lower demand for routers and servers.

Forrester also claims that Internet remote access would mean the maintenance burden would shift from network managers to carriers. In return, carriers would grow to around $1.8 billion by 2001 in increased service revenues.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
