Dell launched its 10-inch-screened netbook, the Inspiron Mini 10, on Monday.

The new low-cost subnotebook falls in the middle of Dell's netbook range — the other models being the Mini 9 and Mini 12. All use variations on Intel's Atom chipset, with the Mini 10 giving a choice between the 1.33GHz Z520 and 1.6GHz Z530 models.

The Mini 10 has a starting weight of 1.3kg, although optional extras can add to this.  The keyboard is 92 percent-sized and the touchpad supports multitouch. The WSVGA screen measures 10.1 inches diagonally and has a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
