The TouchSmart tx2's screen measures 12.1 inches diagonally. It supports not only finger touch, but also a digital pen that comes with the device. The digital pen is itself pressure-sensitive, which HP said makes it more responsive in art-related applications.
Also included in the package is a compact, infra-red remote control for media applications. The remote control can be stowed away in the notebook's ExpressCard slot.
The tx2 uses AMD Turion X2 dual core processors and AT Radeon HD 3200 discrete graphics. It also has a built-in webcam and two microphones for video-conferencing and internet telephony.
HP's multitouch notebook will go on sale in the UK in January.
