Microsoft and Dell are teaming up with the "Product Red" campaign to offer three specially branded PCs. The companies will donate a portion of sales to the Global Fund to Fight Aids, tuberculosis and malaria.

The Product Red campaign, created by rock star Bono and philanthropist Bobby Shriver, kicked off in the US in October 2006. Among the companies that have participated are Apple, Gap and Motorola.

It's difficult to brand an operating system, but Microsoft has tried its best with Product Red-themed backgrounds, screensavers and gadgets. Shown here, the Red version of Vista is basically Vista Ultimate, with the Red-branded add-ons.
