Was this CES appearance a swan song for Gates, who in 2006 announced he would be cutting back on his duties at Microsoft to focus on his philanthropic efforts? Not quite — he says he'll be back next year, at least. "After that I'm not sure they'll want to invite me because I might talk more about infectious diseases," Gates said.
