IBM officials Tuesday said the company will be releasing BlueDrekar, a tool to help Linux developers create applications for Bluetooth. The tool will be officially announced 7 November along with news that a major telecommunications company will be a licensee, the company said during a panel discussion here.

Developers will have to pay for the tool: 10,000 licences will cost $1,000, 50,000 will cost $3,000, and unlimited licences will cost $10,000. The tool is currently available free for 90 days on IBM's site.
