A group of computer users have taken issue with Intel's dominance in the consumer CPU marketplace and started an online petition to encourage motherboard manufacturers to adopt AMD chips instead.

The petition states: It is very important to us as consumers that this powerful CPU be highly supported in the interest of increased competition. Your decision to support AMD's move into the high end market will leave a very favourable impression among us as consumers that will carry over into our future product purchase decisions.

So far, the petition has over 16 thousand signatures. You can register your support here.
