Digital One, the operator of the UK's first national commercial digital radio multiplex, took the opportunity of the London Motor Show to announce the launch-day line-up of its network radio service.

At the core of the company's digital radio offerings, which go live Monday 15 November, are classic rock station Planet Rock and teenage chart channel Core, along with established stations Classic FM, Talk Radio and Virgin Radio.

Digital One has committed to providing an additional five stations at the rate of one a month following launch. These will include an arts, books and comedy station, a soft adult contemporary channel, a 24-hour sports station and a rolling news service.

The company is at present adding transmitters to its network and plans to increase UK coverage to 85 percent by 2002.
