Motorola has launched the world's first triple-band GSM phone, the L7089.
The phone can operate on GSM 900, 1800 and 1900 bands in Europe, America and Asia, though of course this doesn't mean that you'll be able to call home from anywhere in the States, just in areas where the requisite roaming agreements have been set up.
The phone weighs 108g, and gives you a pretty standard 210 minutes of talk time, or up to 150 hours of standby. Other features include voice activation, VoiceNote Voice Recorder for taking memos, IrDAr Wireless Data Connectivity and Starfish TrueSync software for synchronising with Personal Information Management (PIM) software and products.
