It's a mouse, but not as we know it...

Logitech has introduced the first mouse designed specially for game players and called it the Wingman mouse (can anyone tell us why?).

So what makes this mouse so special? According to Logitech it features an extra fast report rate -- the higher the report rate the more often and accurately the mouse sends it position to the computer -- which, apparently, makes for better gameplay (Look, we don't tell 'em what to say in their marketing bumph!). Logitech reckons report rates are up to 200 times per second with the (included) MouseWare software, 5 times faster than standard rodents, says Logitech.

The mouse has a thumb indentation for better grip and an extra weighty mouseball to aid precision. With its USB interface it's compatible with Macs or PCs. Available in May for £29.99, with Shogo: Mobile Armour Division thrown in.
