News Burst: Intel, NASA work on radiation-proof chip

Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) has teamed up with the U.S. government to develop a processor that can withstand radiation, the Associated Press reported. The chip could help shield satellites from nuclear blasts in space. Intel and the government are scheduled to announce the new chips next week. --
