News Burst: IBM struts its stuff in Japan

The Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display is an advanced flat panel technology used to create a 200-pixel-per-inch display that IBM says creates a resolution and fidelity similar to a printed page. Also shown, the wearable ThinkPad prototype is a notebook shrunk to the footprint of a 3Com Palm with a 233MHz processor, 64MB of RAM, 340MB hard drive and voice-activated interface.
