One Year Ago: Psion goes public with Series 5

Psion has unveiled its Series 5 personal digital assistant.
It is powered by an ARM 7100 processor, new 32-bit software, Internet connectivity, stylus input - but the product also has an improved keyboard over the Series 3, as well as a 640 x 240-pixel backlit, touch-sensitive screen.
This will be a make-or-break product for Psion, the company's one big chance to prove its design and marketing nous against Windows CE.
We'll have the world's first hands-on review later today: meanwhile, the curious can see the online brochure on Psion's Web site.
