IBM Pilot PDA clone skips UK for now

Called WorkPad and just released in the US, the device is a thin re-working of the hot-selling USR product. The only differences are cosmetic; most notably, the IBM flavour is black.

"The WorkPad is not going to come here soon," said Nick Eades, product marketing manager for PC products at IBM. "The Pilot is successful here but it's nowhere near the fever pitch that it has sparked in the US. If [the WorkPad] absolutely flies in the US you'll see it here, but definitely not this year. "
