Adaptec combo card has FireWire, UltraSCSI

The firm's AHA-8945 FireCard Ultra puts both features on the card, providing the ability to connect FireWire-enabled devices like DV digital video camcorders and quickly store the resulting data.

Up to 63 FireWire devices and fifteen SCSI devices can be connected directly to the card, Adaptec said.

Samples are available to OEMs now at £343 each.
