Although a UK release was originally planned for April, USR said this week that the devices won't appear until "mid to late" this month although it is shipping in the US. The firm did not disclose reasons for the delay.

The PalmPilot will ship in a £349 Professional version and £299 Personal version.

The delay is a second body blow for USR which announced recently another delay to its x2 modems in the UK.
