Comdex UK: Sanyo camera offers VGA images, voice

On show this week at the Comdex UK exhibition in London, the digiCAM (£599 + VAT) is an elegant design that sports a 2-inch TFT LCD viewfinder on its back panel. The unit can store 640 x 480 images and voice memos in its 4Mb of Flash RAM. Flash and focus are automatic and connection to the host PC is via the parallel port.
"The digital camera market is going through massive growth," said Jason Cox, merchandising manager at Sanyo UK. "We think the digiCAM will help us break through to consumers."
