The UK firm said it will closely pursue a direct selling model to gain a price-performance leap on the competition with its PowerPC 200MHz 604e-based range which taps Motorola motherboards and cases. The systems will be assembled in London.

The New York, Manhattan and Hollywood desktops are respectively aimed at budget buyers, power users and multimedia authors. A New York system with 16Mb EDO RAM, 2Mb SGRAM for graphics, 1.2Gb hard drive and 16-speed CD-ROM drive costs £1,499 + VAT.

Computer Warehouse can be contacted by telephone on 0171-724 4104.
