The 33,600bps PC Card modem (£185 + VAT) is aimed at European business travelers, and will run 15 per cent faster than 28,800bps modems said Motorola. It will offer a free upgrade to PCMCIA 28.8 Pro users in 21 countries, which will work with telephone systems in 15 countries, according to the firm.

The modem features an eight-language interactive manual, automatic configuration in different European countries and diagnostic software.

The software upgrade will be available on disk or from Motorola's Web site.

Motorola can be contacted by telephone on 01293-404343.
