QuickTime for OS/2 will be available in early 1997 but IBM will include a pre-release version in Developer Connection OS/2, out shortly.

QuickTime is used for storing, editing and playing video, audio and text. The OS/2 Warp version will have a movie player, picture viewer, online help and configuration manager. QuickTime for OS/2 uses the same API as QuickTime for Windows 2.1.1, and according to Apple, it will be easy for developers to port other QuickTime applications to OS/2.

Apple can be contacted by telephone on 0181-730 2480.
