News Burst: AOL, DVD Express in marketing deal

America Online said today that it has signed a three-year, $15m (£9.14m) marketing deal with online store DVD Express Inc. to offer DVD-format movies. AOL will also receive a portion of DVD Express' revenues and warrants to purchase shares in the company as part of the deal, company officials said.

DVD Express will be featured on the AOL service and on the AOL.com Web site starting this month and it will also appear on CompuServe under a separate one year, $1m (£0.61m) agreement, company officials said.

While full medical records may be of (dubious) value at rear/base medical facilities, these could be provided much simpler by either physical disk or electronic transfer to an "in theatre" database for individuals posted in. That £80m (and it's associated running costs) could have been far better employed in resuscitating a disbanded infantry battalion or providing a big boost in equipment quality and quantity.
