Available from near the end of 1997, Matrox's m3D will tap the NEC-manufactured PowerVR PCX2 3D processor. The 3D-only card will be aimed exclusively at gamers and will retail for a figure adjacent to £75.

The Matrox acceptance is a boost to VideoLogic which can already count Compaq, NEC and Germany's Peacock as PC vendor customers. The Matrox name should provide many more system vendors and retail sales.
