Apple iPhone buzz hits the UK

As predicted for the past few weeks, O2 has become the iPhone's network provider, although the handset will also be sold through Carphone Warehouse outlets.
Both parties appear to be keen to avoid a repeat of the "bill shock" that affected early iPhone adopters in the US. While AT&T's data charges there were seen by some as excessive, O2 has decided to bundle its version of the device with an unlimited data tariff (subject, of course, to a fair-use policy).
No firm details have emerged of the revenue-sharing arrangement between Apple and O2, but some reports have suggested that Apple will take as much as 40 percent of network revenues.
