Roaming network access provider iPass announced a partnership deal with T-Mobile and T-Com on Monday.

The deal means that iPass customers can now use 1,000 T-Mobile and T-Com hotspots in the UK, and another 7,000 in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic.

"This gives us new access points in Europe that includes 3,500 business hotels, extending our coverage at Heathrow and gaining Frankfurt airport, " said Doug Loewe, managing director of Europe for iPass.

"We now have a network in 160 countries, and offer Wi-Fi in 60 countries. Businesses can use a single name and password, and authentication [of mobile workers] can be controlled by the enterprise," added Loewe.

iPass aggregates fixed-line and wireless networks, giving its customers access to multiple networks through a single subscription. It claims to have deals with the majority of service providers.

"We anticipate putting a lot of traffic onto the network," said Loewe. "As more users go onto T-Mobile, we'll pay [T-Mobile] more money," he added.
