In-car navigation firm TomTom is expected to demonstrate a fleet management product at CeBIT technology show this week.

The GPS-device manufacturer, known for selling navigation systems for cars to consumers, is moving into selling corporate systems for fleets of vehicles, and is promising "easy navigation and two-way communication for cars, dispatchers, fleet managers and drivers".

TomTom Work was announced last week, and includes TomTom Webfleet, a service that allows Web-based vehicle management.

TomTom Work also includes TomTom Link, a GPS/GPRS device for transferring vehicle positions and other information to the Webfleet service centre, and TomTom Go "personal navigation systems", the company said.

"For as little as €2 a day, and with no extra software or technical support required, we are offering businesses an efficient, simple and good value solution to plan their day the easy way," said Harold Goddijn, chief executive officer of TomTom, in a statement.

Reuters India reported that TomTom will show off a fleet management product in Hanover at CeBIT later this week.

ZDNet UK will be reporting live from CeBIT, bringing you the latest news and product launches from the show.
