Tek launches Phaser 560

The £3,995 desktop unit can print full colour at up to 5ppm and resolutions to 1,200 x 1,200 and replaces the 550 model. It uses a feeder that can accommodate labels and card stock as well as standard media. Up to four trays can be used to provide instant access to printing. Aimed at non-techie users, the 560 includes PhaserLink, a Web-based tool for printer management.
IDC market research gives Tektronix 32 per cent of the colour page printer market in Europe in 1996.
