The SRS-PC3DW subwoofer upgrade (£100 + VAT) works with the Sony SRS-PC51 multimedia speakers (£55 + VAT) also launched today, and Sony's SRS-PC41 speakers. Sony is targeting games players with the subwoofer upgrade; which can deliver 25 Watts per channel, and that's on top of the speakers' 2.5W per channel. The speakers come with stands to sit on the desktop, and brackets to attach them to a monitor.

Sony can be contacted by telephone on 0181-760 0500.
