The Mirror Group and The Daily Telegraph will be among companies from 16 European and 30 US countries providing personalised, interactive content from November. The news will be in HTML form, and include sound, graphics, video and Java app-lets.

Other companies offering news will include Focus-Online and Rheinische Post in Germany, Liberation in France, and Milano Finanza Editori Spa and Mondadori in Italy.
